Croatian midfielder Marko Babic has joined Hertha Berlin on a free transfer from Real Betis.
The 27-year-old's contract with the Bundesliga outfit runs until the end of the season, Hertha announced on Tuesday.
Babic moved to Betis from Bayer Leverkusen in 2007, but has now returned Germany.
Hertha general manager Dieter Hoeness said, "We are glad that we were able to sign in Marko Babic a player who is known in the Bundesliga from his successful time at Bayer Leverkusen and has a lot of experience."
