Goalkeeper makes permanent move

Hearts have completed the permanent signing of goalkeeper Janos Balogh from Debrecen. The Hungarian joined Hearts on loan last summer and has so far made 12 appearances for the club. Hearts have been trying to push through a deal since the start of January and agreed a fee with Debrecen last week. The protracted transfer has now been concluded, with reports suggesting the final price tag is £180,000. "Everything has been signed and we have sold Janos Balogh to Hearts," Debrecen secretary Judit Balla said in the Edinburgh Evening News. "We have agreements for the money to be paid in two instalments and we wish Janos well with his career in Scotland." Meanwhile, Hearts have released Finnish striker Juho Makela. Makela joined the club in January 2006 from HJK Helsinki and scored five goals in 23 senior appearances.
