Terriers boss lets six players depart

Huddersfield Town manager Lee Clark has confirmed that only one of the club's seven out of contract players have been offered fresh terms. The Terriers boss already knew Danny Cadamarteri was looking to accept a deal elsewhere, while veteran hit-man Andy Booth has retired following the conclusion of the League One season. Clark has offered a new deal to Andy Holdsworth, but the former Norwich City assistant manager has deemed Dominik Werling, Dan Codman, Jon Worthington, Malvin Kamara and Daniel Broadbent all surplus to requirements.

Decisions

"All of the lads in the squad have been brilliant since I arrived at the club but sometimes decisions have to be made in football," he told the club's official website. "It's not the nicest part of the job, but as I have said before the only constant in football is change and these lads have to go and look for pastures new now. "They certainly leave with our best wishes and a big thank-you for their contribution to the club since we have been here. If anyone calls to ask me about the lads who are leaving, I will certainly give them good references."
