Portuguese midfielder set for summer exit from Tynecastle

Bruno Aguiar's agent claims his client could be on the move to either Rangers or Celtic this summer. The Hearts midfielder is set to be out of contract at the end of the season and is unlikely to be offered an extension on the terms he currently enjoys. That has alerted the attentions of interested parties to a man who has scored seven goals this season. The last of those came in a 3-0 victory over Dundee United on Saturday, a result which ensured Hearts will finish third in the SPL and qualify for the Europa League. Club boss Csaba Laszlo is keen to make a positive impact in continental competition next term and has urged Aguiar to remain at Tynecastle for at least another year in order to put himself further in the shop window. However, the 28-year-old appears to have already decided that his future lies elsewhere, with a switch to another Scottish club representing his preferred option. "The first option for Bruno is to stay in Scotland as he likes it there - but with other clubs," said Aguiar's representative Paulo Barbosa. "When (Hearts owner) Vladimir Romanov comes with an offer, we will be polite, as we have good relations with Hearts, but when we are talking about staying in Scotland it is with other clubs." Barbosa added that he has already received interest from across Europe, with a move to Spain appealing to Aguiar should he be forced to leave Scotland.
