Utility man happy to resolve future ahead of holiday
Grimsby Town utility man Jamie Clarke has signed a new one-year contract at Blundell Park.
Clarke has made over 70 appearances for the Mariners since joining the club in 2007 from Boston United.
The versatile 26-year-old is happy to resolve his future and is now hoping Grimsby boss Mike Newell can make further signings before the start of next season.
"It's nice to get things tied up and I can now have a few weeks to recharge the batteries," Clarke told the club's
official website.
"I'm going to go on holiday now and then start thinking about next season.
"We haven't got too many players at the moment, but I'm sure that the gaffer will have his contacts and his scouts out there and we'll have some decent players in by the start of the season.
"You need a few weeks to chill out. I'll have my holidays and then I'll be looking forward to playing again."
