Barnsley manager Simon Davey has ruled out bringing winger Michael McIndoe back to Oakwell.

McIndoe not on Davey's summer radar

Barnsley manager Simon Davey has ruled out bringing winger Michael McIndoe back to Oakwell. McIndoe is believed to be surplus to requirements at Bristol City and had been linked with a return to South Yorkshire. The 29-year-old's first spell at the club ended when Davey was named caretaker boss and while the Tykes boss admits he is a good player he added the McIndoe is not on their wanted list.

Not on the radar

"I've not spoken to him (Michael), he's not a player on our radar," he told the Sheffield Star. "He left the club the day I was appointed caretaker manager. He's a good player, so I'm not saying he wouldn't interest me, but he's not a player I've inquired about." Davey also revealed Robins boss Gary Johnson has not been back in touch after the club rejected two bids for Brazilian midfielder Anderson De Silva. "They've (Bristol) not come back to us with another offer, nothing's happening there at the moment," he concluded.
