Us defender weighing up return to Australia

Perth Glory are hoping to win the chase to sign Colchester United's unsettled defender Chris Coyne. The Australian is considering his future at Colchester after struggling to command a regular place in the team last season. He is wanted back in his homeland by Perth, but the A-League side believe several other teams are also keen on the 30-year-old. Glory coach Dave Mitchell has confirmed making an offer for Coyne and is now waiting for the former Luton stopper to make a decision on his future. "It's just still up in the air really," said Mitchell. "He's got some issues over there at the club and we've made an offer and there's a few other clubs in the mix so as of yet, we don't know. "We'll just have to wait and see and probably by the end of the weekend, we'll probably know something."
