Hendon believes deal could be signed within a week
Barnet remain confident that veteran striker Paul Furlong will sign a contract with the League Two club.
Furlong is available on a free transfer after leaving Southend United and scored nine goals in 21 appearances during a loan spell with Barnet last season.
He is currently training with the Bees and the 40-year-old was on the scoresheet in Saturday's friendly victory over Charlton Athletic.
The Bees are looking for Furlong to postpone any plans for retirement and manager Ian Hendon expects the evergreen forward to sign a deal at Underhill.
"I am confident that he will tell me at the end of next week that he is staying at Underhill," Hendon told the club's
official website.
"He's not going anywhere else."
