Liddell joins on one-month deal after impressing on trial

Rotherham United boss Mark Robins has ended his interest in Wayne Gray after signing veteran attacker Andy Liddell. Gray has been training with the Millers for the past week as the striker looks for a new club following his release by Leyton Orient. He was being considered as a possible replacement for Reuben Reid, who has joined West Brom, but Robins has decided against offering Gray a contract. "Wayne has now left the club," Robins told the club's official website. "I made the decision the other day that I wasn't going to pursue the situation any further. "With that in mind we needed to free up the space so we can get games in for Ryan Taylor, Paul Warne and Tom Pope." Robins' decision follows on from the capture of Liddell on a one-month contract after the 36-year-old impressed on trial following his departure from Oldham Athletic.
