Racing Santander have agreed to sign winger Luis Garcia from Atletico Madrid.
The Primera Liga club has confirmed on its official website that the former Spain international will sign a two-year deal, subject to a medical.
The 31-year-old has been a peripheral figure at Atletico, making just 17 league starts since returning to the Spanish capital from Liverpool in 2007.
Garcia had scored 18 goals in 77 league appearances for Liverpool, helping the Reds win the 2005 UEFA Champions League.
Capped 18 times by Spain, Garcia came through the youth ranks at Barcelona before having loan spells at Real Valladolid, Toledo and Tenerife.
He then spent a season with both Atletico and Barcelona, where he earned a £6million move to Liverpool in 2004.
