Darlington are to have a look at Jan Budtz in training following his departure from Hartlepool.
The Danish goalkeeper, 30, was allowed to leave Victoria Park at the end of last season after his contract expired.
The former Doncaster man has been looking for a new club for much of the summer and has been given the chance to try and impress Darlo boss Colin Todd.
"I have trained for a couple of weeks and it has gone well," Budtz told
Onside.dk.
"It could be good to get some matches in League Two.
"They just have two young keepers at the club and I could certainly add some experience.
"But it's up to the manager if he also feels that."
