Hamilton's summer rebuilding programme continues, with the acquisition of Gary Mason from St Johnstone.
Midfielder becomes Reid's latest recruit
Hamilton's summer rebuilding programme shows no sign of slowing down, with Gary Mason the latest to arrive from St Johnstone.
The Accies have now added 12 fresh faces to their squad during a busy transfer window.
Mason, a 29-year-old midfielder, arrives as a free agent having parted company with the Saints and has penned a short-term contract which is set to run until January.
With club captain Alex Neil set to be sidelined until December following hip surgery, Hamilton boss Bill Reid is delighted to have reinforced his options in the middle of the park.
"At this stage of the season we felt his experience would be invaluable for us," he said.
"Alex Neil, my captain, is out. He's the same mould as Gary Mason."
Mason began his career at Manchester City but is better known for a seven-year spell at Dunfermline, in which he helped The Pars reach the Scottish Cup and League Cup finals.
