Championship outfit Blackpool have taken Vincent Pericard and Brian Gilmour on short-term trials.
The pair will now be hoping to impress Ian Holloway and earn permanent deals at Bloomfield Road.
Both were awarded 90-minute run-outs for the Seasiders' reserves in a meeting with Tranmere on Wednesday, but were unable to prevent Rovers securing a 1-0 win.
Former Rangers trainee Gilmour, who operates in midfield, is currently without a club after parting company with Finnish side FC Haka.
French forward Pericard is also available as a free agent following his release by Stoke.
The Cameroon-born frontman can boast considerable experience of life in English football having taken in spells at Portsmouth, Sheffield United, Plymouth Argyle, Southampton, Millwall and the Potters over the past seven years.
