Genoa midfielder Ivan Juric is expected to be sidelined for some time with a knee injury.
The experienced 34-year-old picked up the problem whilst on international duty with Croatia earlier this week.
He is reported to have twisted the knee during training ahead of Wednesday's World Cup qualifier against England.
Juric had appeared as a substitute in the 1-0 victory over Belarus at the weekend but his absence was felt at Wembley as England ran out convincing winners.
Genoa are now awaiting the results of scans that will determine the full extent of the damage.
