Olivier Dacourt is in talks with Belgian champions Standard Liege.

The 34-year-old former France international has been out-of-contract since the summer when he left Inter Milan.

He spent the latter part of last season on loan at Fulham and the former Leeds and Everton midfielder had been linked with a return to England.

However, he is now set to pen a one-year deal at Liege.

Standard have been looking for midfield reinforcements following the recent injury to Steven Defour.
