Striker out for several weeks with ankle injury

Falkirk striker Carl Finnigan is facing several weeks on the sidelines after suffering an ankle injury against St Mirren. Finnigan was hurt towards the end of the first half of Saturday's 3-1 home defeat and was replaced by Mark Stewart. The 23-year-old has undergone scans to assess the extent of the injury and Falkirk boss Eddie May confirmed the club are waiting to learn how long Finnigan will be missing. "Carl will be out for a few weeks, although we are going to have to let the swelling go down before we get the full picture," said May. "We think he has ligament damage. He is walking on crutches and it's a disappointment as Carl is a big player for us." Finnigan, who signed a new contract with the Bairns in the summer, has scored once in eight SPL appearances for the club this season.
