German giants reportedly interested in D'Alessandro

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly interested in signing Internacional attacking midfielder Andres D'Alessandro. The Argentinean once had a successful loan spell in the Premier League with Portsmouth in 2006 as he helped the club beat the drop. However despite Pompey's best efforts the 28-year-old chose to sign for Real Zaragoza before a stint at San Lorenzo in his homeland and now with Brazilian side Internacional. According to reports in Brazil, Dortmund officials watched the former River Plate youngster against Sao Paulo last week. Also catching the German club's eye for Internacional in the game was Sandro, rumoured to have recently interested Tottenham, and Giuliano. However, Dortmund could face a bidding war for D'Alessandro with a team from UAE also said to be interested. Any bid around the £6million mark is thought to be enough to capture D'Alessandro as Internacional have already moved to replace the Argentina international with Thiago Humberto from Brazilian side Barueri.
