Torquay utility player Michael Brough has joined Blue Square Premier Mansfield on loan until January.
The transfer is with a view to 28-year-old Brough signing a long-term loan with the promotion-chasing Stags for the rest of the season in January.
Nottingham-born Brough, who can play in central defence or midfield, joins the Mansfield squad as they prepare for Saturday's FA Cup trip to his former club, Forest Green Rovers.
Brough joined Torquay from Forest Green in summer 2008 and has just returned to Plainmoor from a month-long loan spell at Mansfield's Conference rivals Stevenage Borough, where he played six league matches.
