Midfielder set for second trial at the club

Celtic have given Dutch youngster Marko Maletic the chance to train with the club for a second spell. The Holland Under-17 international midfielder, who is Bosnian born, currently plays for Dutch second division outfit De Graafschap but spent a spell at Parkhead training earlier this season. De Graafschap are reportedly not keen to lose the player cheaply, though, and their director of football Leen Looyen claims the fee for the tough-tackler could run into six figures. He said: "Under the Fifa rules, we may ask a fee of 300,000 euros (£270,360). That amount has to do with the number of years that a youth player has been with us and with the status of the club that wants him." Meanwhile, Hoops midfielder Zheng Zhi has revealed his determination to help lead Celtic into next year's UEFA Champions League after missing this season's Europa League campaign. The China captain was registered too late to play a part in the Bhoys' European games this season and admits it has been frustrating to look on from the sidelines as his side fell by the wayside. "It was frustrating for me - I was signed too late and that meant I wasn't able to play in the Europa League," he told Celtic View. "I was hoping we would qualify for the next round and I would be able to play, but we didn't manage that. "That was a disappointment but we will just have to try to win the league and make sure we are in the Champions League next season. I would love to play in Europe with Celtic. "The target for all the players is to win the league and do well in the Scottish Cup. We are disappointed to be out of Europe but we still have a big chance to make the season successful."
