The agent of Roma midfielder Rodrigo Taddei says he wants to finish his career at the club - despite reported interest from Fiorentina.

Brazilian yet to open contract talks

Roma midfielder Rodrigo Taddei will stay with the club until at least the end of the season, according to the player's agent. Taddei's current deal expires in June and negotiations to extend his contract have yet to begin, leaving the 29-year-old's future hanging in the balance. But Taddei's agent Alessandro Lucci said the Brazilian will not be leaving the Stadio Olimpico during the January transfer window and that contract talks would open before the end of the season. Lucci also said Taddei - who joined the Italian side in 2005 - wants to end his career at the club, despite reported interest from Serie A rivals Fiorentina. He told violanews.com: "Taddei will remain at Roma until at least June. His intention is to finish his career at Roma but with the club we have not yet discussed his contract and I think we won't arrive at a solution before two months. "Just in case we don't reach an agreement with Roma we will begin to consider other possibilities. "So many teams are interested in Rodrigo but we did not take into consideration any proposal out of respect for Roma. Fiorentina? I know they like Taddei but we never go deeper."

Cicinho seeks exit

Meanwhile, team mate Cicinho says he wants to leave Roma and return to his native Brazil. The right-back has become tired of failing to make the first team and wants to make a comeback with former club Sao Paulo. "My intention is to return to Brazil. But Sao Paulo hasn't enough money to buy me," Cicinho told Globo Esporte. "I would have to terminate the contract with Roma. I have tried but without success."
