Gary Ablett will run the rule over five trialists in Stockport's Manchester Senior Cup clash against Bolton on Monday night.
Former Ipswich defender Matt Brown is one of the quintet, having impressed in his first trial game against Bury at the end of last month.
Full-back Michael Teiman, central defender Sekou Berthe and strikers Frank Danquah and Joseph Afusi will also start the encounter at Edgeley Park.
Meanwhile, returning duo Matty Mainwaring and Gianluca Havern have also been named on the bench.
Mainwaring and Havern will hope to get some minutes under their belts as they look to step up their recoveries from lengthy spells on the sidelines due to injury.
