Stimson looking elsewhere
Mark Stimson has confirmed he will be looking elsewhere this summer after deciding not to make an approach for Chris Dickson.
Charlton striker Dickson has been on loan with the Gills since February but has not been able to find his best form, scoring just once in eight appearances.
Dickson had long been a target of Stimson after scoring 11 goals in 14 games during his previous stint at the club two seasons ago, but a permanent move has now been ruled out.
"He didn't play as many minutes as he would've liked or I would've liked, but at the end of the day you're judged on your last game," Stimson told the
Kent Messenger.
"He's got a lovely way about him but he's just got to be a bit more professional in his game.
"If he does that he'll play at a decent level, if he doesn't then who knows where he'll end up?
"I'm sure he'll get a club in the summer and we possibly might read about him scoring a few goals. We'll be looking elsewhere."
