Former Villa man signs new deal despite injury-ravaged season
Lincoln defender Paul Green has extended his stay at the club by penning a one-year contract extension.
Green has been at the club for three-and-a-half years since his arrival from Aston Villa in 2007 and has made over 100 appearances for the Red Imps during that time.
The 23-year-old has turned out just 14 times for Chris Sutton's side during this campaign, though, and a broken metatarsal in the April defeat to Shrewsbury saw the season end in frustration for the right-back.
But the club have decided to keep hold of the Birmingham-born stopper, who was delighted to have extended his stay with City.
Speaking to the club's official website, Green said: "I'm pleased to have signed a new deal.
"It's been a frustrating year or so with injuries and I'm just looking forward to getting back to full fitness, getting a good pre-season behind me and getting some success on the pitch next season."
