Sampson expects striker to progress again next season
Seb Harris has become the latest player to commit his future to Northampton Town after signing a new one-year contract.
The 22-year-old American, who joined the Cobblers last summer after a successful trial, made 10 substitute appearances this season and scored once in the 2-1 win over Cheltenham in February.
He has now followed Kevin Thornton and Peter Gilbert in pledging to stay with the club and manager Ian Sampson is looking forward to seeing Harris progress again next season.
Sampson told the club's
official website: "I have seen an improvement in Seb as the season has gone on and he will be all the better for the experience of last season.
"We have invested some time in him and we will continue to progress. He can play as a striker or as a centre-half and that versatility is important.
"Next season he will be challenged with kicking on again and to try and challenge for a starting place.
"We are still looking at recruiting in various positions including up front and my work in that area is ongoing."
