South Africa keeper not scared of group rivals

South Africa goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune does not believe the World Cup hosts have anything to worry about in Group A and has set his sights on winning all three games. Carlos Alberto Parreira's men kick off the tournament against Mexico on Friday before taking on Uruguay and France. They were tipped to struggle when the draw was made but confidence is high following a run of good results in the warm-up games. Khune is convinced that South Africa can claim maximum points to progress to the knockout phase as group winners. Speaking about the threat from the other teams, Khune said: "They should be worried about us as the hosts and we shouldn't be worried about them. "It is important that as the host country we go out to win all the games. We can go out there and upset these countries. "It will be nice to take all the nine points in the group stage, but we have to realise the other countries won't make it easy for us."

Anything is possible

Beyond the group stage, Khune is excited about how far South Africa could progress with the support of their fans to spur them on. "We have the advantage of our home supporters, those who will be blowing the vuvuzelas at the stadium and the whole nation will be behind us so I think anything is possible. "We are more than ready to go out there to do our best for the country."
