Defender excited by 'big challenge' in Germany
Kaiserslautern have completed the signing of defender Leon Jessen from FC Midtjylland on a four-year contract.
The newly-promoted Bundesliga side have reinforced their squad as they prepare for life in back in the German top-flight after a four-year absence.
Midtjylland have been paid an undisclosed fee for Jessen, who was cut from Denmark's preliminary World Cup squad, and the left-sided defender is now looking forward to the next stage in his career.
The 24-year-old told Kaiserslautern's
official website: "A move to Kaiserslautern in the Bundesliga is a big challenge. Great fans, a giant atmosphere - I cannot wait until the season starts."
Kaiserslautern general manager Stefan Kuntz said: "Leon Jessen is a player from the pre-selection of the Denmark World Cup squad.
"We are delighted to have signed a player of his quality."
