Daggers keen on former Charlton man

Skysports.com understands a host of League One sides are chasing former Charlton striker Chris Dickson. Dickson is available on a free transfer after seeing out his contract at The Valley and the news has alerted a number of teams. The 25-year-old struggled to hold down a regular place in the Charlton side last term and had spells out on loan at Bristol Rovers and Gillingham. Dagenham & Redbridge are believed to be monitoring Dickson's situation as they prepare for life in League One next season. Daggers assistant boss Wayne Burnett is a big admirer of Dickson having worked with him during his time in charge of Dulwich Hamlet and sees the striker as the man who can score goals in League One. The Ghana international is keen to find the right club as he seeks to get his career back on track by playing regular first-team football. "After my stop-start time at Charlton I just want to get my head down and score the goals I believe I can for a new club," Dickson told skysports.com.
