Aston Villa have 'shown interest' in South Korea international Cho Yong-hyung, according to his agent.

Centre-back's future expected to be decided this summer

Aston Villa have 'shown interest' in South Korea international Cho Yong-hyung, according to the defender's agent. The Jeju United centre-back played for his country in all four of their games at this summer's World Cup before their participation ended in defeat to Uruguay in the last 16. Yong-hyung's representative, Yoon Ki-yeon, now claims that Villa are among a number of clubs tracking the 26-year-old and he thinks that a deal could be agreed in July. "Aston Villa and a few other European clubs have shown interest," said Ki-yeon in The Korea Herald. "I can confirm that he is on their transfer list and I expect the official deal will be made after the World Cup."
