Striker departs Kassam after second spell at club
Oxford United have parted company with striker Jamie Cook.
The player and club have agreed to sever ties by mutual consent after Cook struggled to force his way into the first team fold last season.
Cook's departure comes despite returning to manager Chris Wilder's team in September.
The 30-year-old had started his career at the Kassam Stadium before leaving in 2001 and the front man will once again be seeking new employers.
The former Stevenage Borough and Rushden & Diamonds player scored three goals in 16 appearances for the Blue Square Premier play-off winners during his second stint.
