Bonucci and Martinez sign five-year deals at Stadio Olimpico

Juventus have completed the double signing of Bari defender Leonardo Bonucci and Catania striker Jorge Martinez. Both players had been strongly linked with moves to Juventus since the end of last season and the deals had been making progress in recent weeks. The Serie A side have now confirmed that Italy international Bonucci has joined the club on a five-year contract for a fee of €15.5million (£12.8million). Uruguayan forward Martinez has agreed a similar length of contract at the Stadio Olimpico after Catania accepted an offer of €12million (£9.9million). The deals continue a heavy summer of spending so far for Juve, who are looking to rebuild under new coach Luigi Del Neri. After finishing a disappointing seventh in Serie A last season, Juve have also brought in winger Simone Pepe and goalkeeper Marco Storari.
