Campbell and Bullard weighing up moves to Parkhead

Celtic manager Neil Lennon remains hopeful of being able to agree a deal to sign veteran defender Sol Campbell and Hull City midfielder Jimmy Bullard. Campbell, who is out of contract at Arsenal, has already discussed a move to Parkhead and is weighing up his options regarding his future. Bullard has been offered a season-long loan move to Celtic as Hull seek to trim their wage bill and is also considering whether to accept Lennon's offer. Lennon is keen to add the experienced duo to his squad and, after tying up the signing of Charlie Mulgrew, is awaiting a response.

Early days

"It is early days (with Sol), we have had contact over the summer," said Lennon. "We were delighted to get him up and talks are ongoing at the minute. "It is not just his experience, but his quality and calibre of player and personality. "He's had a great career, but I think he still has a lot to offer. He's gone away to think about things and will be in touch over the next week or so. "I've also been speaking with Jimmy. I've had dialogue with Hull and Jimmy on a personal level and again it is still in its initial phase. "He hasn't said yes and he hasn't said no. We are hoping to speak to him again over the next few days and try to get something concluded." Celtic are also aiming to finalise a deal for South Korea international full-back Cha Du-ri after allowing Koki Mizuno and Zheng Zhi to leave the club. Lennon added: "We are in talks with three or four players and they are ongoing. "I am hoping that Cha Du-ri gets completed over the next couple of days, he's having a medical today. "He's played in Germany for the majority of his career and we have had an eye on him for a while. He has 50 caps and has good experience."
