Turkey international Halil Altintop has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on a two-year deal.
The 27-year-old impressed while on loan at Frankfurt from Schalke during the second half of last season, scoring only three goals but playing a key role in the 15 appearances he made at the club.
Altintop was free to negotiate with any club after his contract with the Royal Blues was not renewed, but the forward has chosen to stay with Frankfurt for the next two seasons.
Frankfurt chairman Heribert Bruchhagen says coach Michael Skibbe is thrilled to have secured the signature of Altintop, who has played a total of 202 Bundesliga matches, scoring 47 goals.
