Crewe have invited defenders Matthew Brown and Danny Blanchett for a trial at the club. Brown is a centre-half who regularly featured for Manchester City's reserve-team last season. Full-back Blanchett spent last season on loan at Hereford from Peterborough and also had another temporary stint at AFC Wimbledon. Both players are training at the club's Reaseheath complex in the hope of securing a contract.
