Brazilian happy after sealing switch to Russian champions

Carlos Eduardo is looking forward to the challenges ahead after sealing a big money switch from Hoffenheim to Rubin Kazan. The Brazilian playmaker has penned a four-year contract with the Russian champions after a reported €20million (£16.37m) switch. The deal represents good business for the Bundesliga outfit, who signed the Brazilian for a record €7million (£5.73m) back in 2007 when they were a second tier side. The 23-year-old managed to break into the Brazil national side during his three years at Hoffenheim but now believes it is time for new challenges, including playing in the UEFA Champions League. He told Bild: "The time came for me to do something new. "The Russian championship is attractive and I can play in the Champions League."
