Ghanaian defender to have medical at Easter Road

Hibernian are on the brink of signing Ghanaian centre-back Francis Dickoh from FC Utrecht. The 27-year-old has spent four years with Utrecht but the Dutch club have now announced he will clinch a one-year contract with John Hughes' Hibernian on Tuesday providing he passes a medical. Dickoh has Ghanaian parents and has played international football for the country but was born and began his career in Denmark, playing for B.93 before moving on to Farum and then Nordsjaelland prior to joining Utrecht in 2006. He is now set to embark on a fresh challenge in Scotland and will strengthen Hughes' defensive options if the deal goes through.
