Experienced midfielder looks for new club
Italian midfielder Enzo Maresca has revealed that he will look to sign for a new club in the January transfer window.
The 30-year-old recently terminated his contract with Greek side Olympiakos and a number of Italian clubs are thought to be chasing his signature.
Udinese, Sampdoria, Napoli and Palermo are all reportedly interested in Maresca, and he must wait till January after admitting a lack of motivation.
"I knew that rescinding my contract on August 30 was a risk," Maresca told ReteRete24.
"My reasoning was based on motivation however. In order to give my best I cannot function without it. Now I must wait until January and weigh up a couple of opportunities.
"In the meantime, I have lost €2million (£1.6m) and many former team-mates have called me to say that I'm crazy.
"This is not the case however, and I know what I want. Now I will train hard to make sure I am ready for when the next opportunity presents itself."
