Terry Butcher has boosted his Inverness squad with the signing of Stuart Duff on a free transfer until the end of the season.
Duff put pen to paper at the Caledonian Stadium late on Tuesday night following his release from Aberdeen in May.
The 28-year-old midfielder, who has been without a club since his Pittodrie exit, is no stranger to Caley after spending a month on loan with the club last season and Butcher believes that spell will stand him in good stead.
"I'm very pleased to add Stuart to our squad," the former England captain told the Daily Record.
"He brings extensive SPL experience and adds competition that I have been looking for in the midfield area.
"As a result of his previous loan spell here he knows the players and knows what this club is all about, so there is no settling in time required. That is an advantage."
