Wrexham keeper trains with Premier League club
Everton have invited Wrexham's promising goalkeeper Chris Maxwell to train with the club for a few days this week.
Maxwell has been given permission to link up with the Premier League club after an invite from Everton's reserve-team coach Andy Holden.
Wrexham boss Dean Saunders hopes the Wales Under 21 international will benefit from the experience and will have Maxwell back in his plans for Saturday's Blue Square Premier game at Histon.
"Maxi has had a couple of days there and the experience will be good for him," Saunders told
Daily Post North Wales.
"Andy Holden got in touch to ask if they could take a look at him as a young goalkeeper with potential.
"He's one of a number of promising young players who are being watched all the time and it's an opportunity for him to impress.
"But he's back here tomorrow and it's important that he is focused on what he is doing for us."
