Nice keeper set to call it a day

Nice goalkeeper Lionel Letizi has announced that he will hanging up his gloves at the end of the season. The 37-year-old has confirmed that the 2010/11 campaign will be his last before he slips into retirement. Letizi, who has won four caps for France over the course of an 18-year career, admits his body his no longer capable of withstanding the rigours of professional football. "I'll stop next June," he said.

Struggle

"It'll be high time by then as it's getting harder and harder to follow the routine. "I feel a huge difference compared to last season. I struggle to recover after the big training sessions." Letizi is currently the understudy to David Ospina at Nice, having returned to the club for a second spell in 2007. He has also represented Metz, Paris St Germain and Old Firm giants Rangers.
