Bhoys boss could bolster goalkeeping options

Skysports.com understands that Celtic are keeping close tabs on Estonia international keeper Sergei Pareiko ahead of the opening of the January transfer window. The 33-year-old shot-stopper is currently first choice for his country and will be available on a free transfer when his contract with FC Tom Tomsk expires at the end of next month. Celtic currently have on-loan keeper Fraser Forster from Newcastle United between the sticks, although The Magpies have the option of recalling him to St James' Park in two months' time. The Bhoys have watched the experienced keeper Pareiko several times over the past few months and the reports to manager Neil Lennon are that he would be a quality addition. Celtic are not the only club vying for Pareiko's services and a number of teams around Europe are thought to be chasing his signature, however, the SPL giants are his preferred choice. Lennon was also tracking Arsenal's Wojciech Szczesny but he committed his future to Arsenal while Manchester City's Shay Given is also of interest having fallen down the pecking order at Eastlands.
