Fitzpatrick rejects contract extension at Fir Park
Motherwell boss Stuart McCall hopes to make a loan signing before the weekend after Marc Fitzpatrick rejected a new deal.
Fitzpatrick was offered an extension at Fir Park, but has opted to join Nick Blackman and Alan Gow in leaving the SPL club.
McCall is anxious to increase the numbers in his squad and is trying to have a deal in place before Saturday's game at home to Inverness.
"We've got to get bodies in and we've got to get bodies in that are going to make us better and not just for the sake of it," said McCall after Wednesday's defeat at Dundee United.
"We're working really hard to bring people in and hopefully we can bring a couple in in the near future.
"It would be great if we could have someone in for Saturday but we'll just have to wait and see."
