Defender ready for challenges at the San Siro
AC Milan have agreed the signing of Espanyol defender Didac Vila on a four-and-a-half-year contract, subject to a medical.
The 21-year-old left-back had not featured in the Spanish club's first team this season, but he is viewed as a potential star of the future.
Vila will join Mark van Bommel and Urby Emanuelson in moving to the San Siro and Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is pleased with the deal.
"We have been following this player for a long time," Galliani told his club's
official website.
He added: "Now he will have a medical and after that the contract will be signed.
"He will be available for coach Massimiliano Allegri for the game with Lazio (on 1st February)."
Vila said: "I am really happy to be here and I am ready for the challenges that are waiting for me."
