Leyton Orient have signed Jason Crowe until the end of the season after the defender's contract at Leeds United was cancelled.
Crowe left Championship club Leeds earlier on Monday and was quick to agree a deal with Orient, who have reached the fifth round of the FA Cup.
The 32-year-old had not made a first-team appearance for Leeds since February last year and has been allowed to move on by Whites boss Simon Grayson.
Orient boss Russell Slade has been working on a deal for Crowe over the weekend and is confident he will be a hit with the League One side.
Slade told the club's
official website: "I'm delighted to bring Jason to the club - it's a deal I've been trying to do for the last two or three days.
"He's versatile and can play anywhere across the back or midfield.
"He's a good utility player, with a great attitude and good energy."
Meanwhile, Alan Martin has joined Crowe in leaving Elland Road after the young goalkeeper's contract was also cancelled by mutual consent.
