Italy midfielder signs until 2015

Sampdoria midfielder Angelo Palombo has signed an extension to his contract that will keep him with the club until 2015. The Italian international's current deal was due to expire in two years time, but the club were keen to keep his services after becoming an integral member of their quad. The Blucerchiati will also be pleased to retain the player after seeing front pair Antonio Cassano and Giampaolo Pazzini moving to Milan and Inter respectively during the January transfer window. "I'm delighted, I'm a fan and I feel like I'm Sampdoria through and through, it was my priority to extend the contract," he said. He added on the club's official website: "Sampdoria is my second family and my only will was to continue my permanence for a long time."
