Georgian glad to sign new contract
Kakha Kaladze has expressed his delight after signing a new two-year deal with Genoa.
The versatile Georgian defender, who can play at left-back or in the centre, only joined Genoa last summer after almost a decade with AC Milan.
He admits life is very different in Liguria but is pleased to have been rewarded with a contract extension that keeps him at the club until 2013.
"I left the world's most successful club and I've arrived in a different reality," the 33-year-old told Genoa's official website.
"But here in Genoa I have rediscovered my enthusiasm, I see a club with ambitions.
"I met with the officials and I've extended the deal for two years.
"I'm really happy."
Genoa are currently 10th in the Serie A standings after struggling for consistency all season.
