Osasuna have announced that midfielder Masoud Shojaei will miss the remainder of the season due to a broken foot.
The Iran international picked up the problem in Sunday's 3-2 defeat to Atletico Madrid, when he only came on as a substitute 14 minutes from time.
He has now been sent for surgery and will not recover in time to play any part in Osasuna's run-in.
Shojaei has scored eight goals for the club since arriving almost three years ago, and has helped them to 12th in the Primera Liga standings this season.
