Blues defender ready to battle on for the rest of the season
Birmingham defender Roger Johnson has no concern over any injury following their 2-0 win over Sunderland on Saturday.
The commanding centre-back was in fine form once again for the Blues, producing another top performance and gaining a clean sheet.
Johnson looked to be limping out of the game towards the end after making a flying challenge to block a shot from Steed Malbranque, but carried on until the end of the game.
With the Blues set to face Chelsea on Wednesday, Johnson admitted that he had no issues before the game, and hailed the team's performance to win such an important game that could see them safe from the drop.
Talking about the knock, Johnson said: "It was just a kick in the back of the leg, he kicked my leg instead of the ball, but with a bit of ice it will be alright.
"There's no cuts or bruises, just a few bangs.
Massive win
"It's a massive win, the last three games we set ourselves the target of getting as many wins as possible, because they were the teams around us and we've won two and drawn one.
"That's took us up the league which we wanted, so the knocks and the bumps are all worth it when you get the three points.
"They (Sunderland) put us under a little bit (of pressure), they had a couple of chances but I felt we were fairly solid, they had a lot of the ball but it was in front of us and we were happy with that.
"The clean sheet speaks volumes."
