Swede outlines unnamed targets while Ricardo's future uncertain
Leicester boss Sven Goran Eriksson expects a busy summer and has already drafted up a list of transfer targets.
The Foxes are hoping for a top-half finish in the Championship table as a play-off spot is all but out of reach with just two games remaining in Eriksson's first season in charge.
The Swede has begun looking towards next season and, with seven loanees in his first team squad, he knows he has his work cut out to assemble a squad capable of challenging for promotion next term.
"We have started looking at names but not spoken to any clubs yet because you aren't really allowed to do that until the end of the season," Eriksson told the
Leicester Mercury.
"I hope it will be a very busy summer. A lot depends on the loan players' situations. That is the key and then some other positions. We know what we need."
Meanwhile, Portuguese keeper Ricardo is likely to miss the remainder of the season after picking up a shoulder injury in training.
The 35-year-old, a free signing in January, may have played his last game for the club with Leicester yet to confirm an extension to his six-month contract.
Eriksson said: "Ricardo did it in training and had a scan on Tuesday morning. The medics think the season is over for him, unfortunately. We have to wait and see the results of the scan."
