Inverness chairman George Fraser believes his club have been vindicated after a court ruling regarding former player Marius Niculae.
It was deemed that the club should not have to pay compensation to the player after a drawn-out saga in the courts.
Caley's appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in December was successful and overturned a previous ruling from Fifa which stated the Romanian was due a portion of his transfer fee.
Niculae moved from Scotland to Dinamo Bucharest in August 2008 in a move costing €450,000, 30 per cent of which the player was reportedly due.
Yet with the matter now squared away Fraser is looking forward to putting the issue in the past.
"We're extremely pleased to announce final closure on the whole affair," he told the club's
official site.
"It has been a major distraction for almost three years but the outcome of both cases totally vindicates our stance on the matter.
"We are pleased we will no longer have to defend ourselves in Inverness in relation to a claim for a signing-on fee for a second year of a contract which, as we all know, Marius chose not to fulfil."
