McIntyre insists Burns signing does not spell trouble for teenager
Dunfermline manager Jim McIntyre insists that teenager Paul Willis still has a future at the club.
The midfielder spent two months on loan at Ayr in the second half of last season and it has been speculated he could make a permanent move this summer.
Dunfermline's signing of Paul Burns from Queen of the South has added further doubts about Willis' future.
But McIntyre said in the
Daily Record of the 19-year-old: "We have high hopes for young Paul.
"We sent him out on loan because we wanted him to get a bit more experience.
"We got Paul Burns because we felt it was important we strengthened that right-hand side.
"Hopefully he can give us even more competition for places in the wide areas next season."
